16′ overall length. This trailer received a major frame up, professional rebuild and has over $13K in materials and improvements invested in 2017.
FRAME/SUSPENSION (includes): The cabin body (except the galley area) was removed from the steel frame. The vintage slide out step secured to the frame. Dual propane tank mount welded to the frame. New 3.5K rated axle with electric brakes and leaf springs were re-arched by McBrides Spring (Albuquerque, NM). The wheels are powder coated and have MasterTrack radial trailer tires ST205/75R14. Baby Moons (chrome hubcaps). Spare tire/wheel. Set of four Stabilizer stands.
BODY/INTERIOR upgrade includes: Wood framing was inspected and replaced except around the galley which was in good repair New IVC US flooring was installed over the subfloor which was in great shape. New Birch wall and ceiling paneling (the walls and ceiling are fully insulated). Magazine rack installed over the bed. New aluminum exterior skin, roof, and a new front rock guard. New Vintage rope awning included. All metal trims are polished. All new external stainless screws. All the original windows were taken apart, cleaned, polished, and reassembled with new seals and gaskets (plexiglass panels cut to fit where the screens go for added warmth in the winter). Jalousie glass panes are etched with Native American spirit animals. One ceiling vent. Original Shasta emblem and wings were cleaned and reinstalled. Original Murphy-Richards Astral 2 cf gas operated Refrigerator was inspected and is in working order. The original porcelain sink (drains to a grey water tank not included) Original Robertshaw cook range along with the original backsplash with diamond pattern. New Cabinets were designed and installed to include a wardrobe, stack of drawers, pantry and storage cabinets above the bed, galley and dinette area. The wardrobe door and the stacked drawers came from a 1954 Spartan and are painted turquoise as are the cabinet doors throughout the camper. Cushions are extra deep foam and are less than 5 yrs old with new covers and curtains to match giving a warm feeling. Sleeps up to 4 adults.
PLUMBING/LP Gas: Two new propane tanks, regulator and hoses, new propane lines for gas stove top & oven. Added a gas line with approximately 6 ft of hose with quick release gas fitting located inside the curb side storage compartment for convenient outdoor cooking. Has a new ten gallon fresh water tank, new 12v water pump. New water lines and drains. Included: a new (still in the box) 5.3gal Jumbl Innovative Outdoor Portable Toilet with level indicator, power flush and easy waste removal spout. Recommend use with a Leapair™ Tent with multiple uses (pop-up shower, Portable Toilet privacy, changing room).
TOWING: New seven way tow plug connects new LED running lights, with the original turn signals, brake lights, license plate mount with light and trailer brakes to tow vehicle. 2″ ball coupler and has a sway bar mount located on the frame tongue.
ELECTRICAL 12V DC LIGHTING AND SYSTEMS, 12v Battery added to the tongue. Added exterior 12v patio light with a switch located inside. 12v lighting system for dry camping without shore power. 12v battery is recharged using a separate battery charger.
ELECTRICAL 110V AC Lights and Receptacles: 30A shore plug with cable, all new 110v wiring to circuit breakers, dome light and receptacles. Includes a Retro micro wave. 3 110v receptacles for camping with full shore power. New LG (model# LP0817WSR) portable Air Conditioner with auto evaporative system, 115v AC/15 amp with remote. This AC unit provides 8000 BTU ASHREA-128 Standard / 5500 BTU DOE 2017 Standard capable of cooling 150 SF. Heating: Most any portable electric heater provides adequate heating for winter camping.
GENERAL: Clear New Mexico Title, and a current New Mexico Permanent registration. Trailer empty weight is 2100 pounds Estimated cargo weight approximately 1000 pounds Tongue weight is estimated at 300 pounds. This trailer can be easily pulled by most SUV’s and LD Trucks.
